| "Unfinished Business: The Life & Times of Danny Gatton," is the title of a new bio by Ralph Heibutzki about the man who is seen by many as the world's best guitar player ever. Heibutzki made two trips from Hillsdale to D.C. to talk to Gatton's family and fellow musicians, and conducted many phone interviews. The result is a comprehensive and highly readable story of Gatton as guitarist, husband, father and car restorer, though we may never know just why he killed himself back in '94. Gatton was guitarist for Robert Gordon in the early 80s, and can be heard on albums like "Are You Gonna Be The One" and "The Humbler". "Unfinished Business" was published by Backbeat Books. It can be ordered from the Nomad Bookhouse in Jackson or through amazon.com (Update: 11/22). | ||
